Panasonic Corporation expects a nearly 50% year-on-year jump in revenue from smartphone sales in India in 2017-18 and plans to start export of its devices to markets in South Asia, West Asia and Africa in the next five months.

Panasonic India is seeking to up the ante on online sales of its mobile phones (under the Eluga brand) even as it targets ₹2,000 crore worth of handset sales this fiscal.
